Azerbaijan, UK mull joint steps to expand friendly ties PHOTO

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly on the margins of the conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine in London, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said on Twitter.

"The sides highlighted the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Great Britain and discussed joint steps to expand them. Further strengthening of cooperation aimed at ensuring stability and peace in the region was stressed," the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a statement, Caliber.Az reports.

During his working visit, the minister also met with OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid.

The sides discussed the agenda of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the OSCE, as well as regional and international security issues.

The meeting reaffirmed Azerbaijan's commitment to the peace process with Armenia.
