Azerbaijani flag hoisted in New York PHOTO

On October 18, on the occasion of the Restoration of Independence Day of Azerbaijan, the flag of the country was hoisted on a huge flagpole in Bowling Green Park, located on Wall Street, one of the most visited streets by tourists, which is considered the symbol and financial centre of New York.

Azerbaijanis living in New York took part in the ceremony organized by the Azerbaijan-New York Association, Report informs.

Chairman of the Azerbaijan-New York Association Erjan Yerdelenli raised the tricolour flag of Azerbaijan under the sound of the national anthem of the country.

The Azerbaijani flag will fly in Bowling Green Park for 10 days.
