Pakistan condemns Indian strikes as unprovoked
The Director General of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has strongly condemned recent Indian military strikes, describing them as unprovoked and deliberately targeting civilian areas.
In an interview, Lt. Gen. Chaudhry criticised India’s recurring accusations against Pakistan in the wake of terrorist attacks, stating that New Delhi often fails to present credible evidence to support its claims. He highlighted Pakistan’s offer to facilitate an independent investigation into the recent Pahalgam attack—an offer he said was dismissed by India, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
The ISPR chief stated that India subsequently launched strikes on six locations within Pakistan, including mosques and residential neighbourhoods, resulting in multiple civilian casualties, particularly among women and children.
Calling on the international community to intervene, Lt. Gen. Chaudhry urged global powers to hold India accountable for violation of international norms. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace while asserting the country's right to defend its sovereignty in the face of unjustified aggression.
