CENTCOM rejects IRGC claim of supertanker hitting mines in Hormuz
US Central Command (CENTCOM) has denied claims by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) that a supertanker travelling along the southern route of the Strait of Hormuz struck two mines and was forced to stop, the command said in a statement on X.
“No ships have hit mines in the Strait of Hormuz. This is yet another IRGC attempt to intimidate regional commercial shipping through disinformation,” the command’s statement read.
