Trump: Europe is paying for US aid to Ukraine

US President Donald Trump said the United States is continuing to help Ukraine, but that European countries are now paying for the assistance.

“Joe Biden gave Ukraine over 300 billion dollars worth of stuff free. Now, I also help Ukraine, but they have to pay for it. So, Europe is paying for it. It goes to the European nations. It goes to NATO. They pay us for it, and we help them out. But, uh, he gave away 300 billion dollars worth of ammunition,” Trump told reporters.

Trump contrasted his approach with that of former President Joe Biden, under whose administration the US provided substantial military assistance to Ukraine.

He said European countries and NATO were now paying the United States for the equipment and support provided to Ukraine.
