Azerbaijani president to embark on state visit to Uzbekistan
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will embark on a state visit to Uzbekistan on August 22-23, at the invitation of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
According to Caliber.Az, citing the press service of the Uzbek president, the visit’s program includes summit talks and the inaugural meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, chaired by the leaders of both nations.
The summit's agenda will center on deepening and expanding Uzbek-Azerbaijani strategic partnerships and multifaceted cooperation. Key areas of focus will include increasing mutual trade turnover, establishing a new portfolio of cooperative projects, fostering business contacts through interregional exchanges, and unlocking transport and communication potential. Additionally, efforts will be made to intensify cultural and humanitarian ties.
The press service also announced plans for the presidents to jointly meet with business representatives from both countries and participate in various business and cultural events.
