Western Azerbaijanis' right of return raised at OSCE human rights conference
On October 9, Ramil Hasan, Deputy Chairman of the Western Azerbaijan Community (WAC) and member of parliament, delivered a speech at the plenary session of the OSCE Human Dimension Conference in Warsaw.
According to the press service of the Western Azerbaijan Community, Hasan shared his personal experience of exile, highlighting the forced deportations of Azerbaijanis from Armenia and the denial of their right to return, Caliber.Az reports.
He pointed out that while certain groups continue to spotlight the Armenians who voluntarily left Azerbaijan, they neglect the rights of Western Azerbaijanis to return with safety and dignity. Hasan emphasized that the right of return for these Azerbaijanis is essential for justice and reconciliation.
In addition to his address, Ramil Hasan engaged in several business meetings during the conference.
The OSCE's annual Human Dimension Conference focuses on human rights and fundamental freedoms across the OSCE region. The Western Azerbaijan Community frequently participates in these conferences to advocate for the right of return of Azerbaijanis expelled from Armenia. This year's conference holds significant importance for raising international awareness of the plight of Western Azerbaijanis.
