Baku, Moscow in strategic discussions on regional matters
Hikmet Hajiyev, Azerbaijani presidential aide and head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko to discuss bilateral cooperation and pressing regional matters.
The working meeting took place on October 8 in Moscow during the Azerbaijani delegation's participation in the CIS Heads of State Council meeting.
This information was disseminated by the press service of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Russia, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The discussions focused on several key areas, including collaboration within the “3 + 3” format, the Azerbaijan-Russia-Iran cooperation framework, the development of the North-South transport corridor, and Azerbaijan's engagement with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and BRICS.
Hajiyev also briefed Rudenko on the ongoing negotiations regarding Armenian-Azerbaijani normalization, emphasizing the need for amendments to Armenian legislation to eliminate provisions related to territorial claims against Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia, Rahman Mustafayev, was also present at the meeting.
