Azerbaijan, Belarus mull engineering support initiatives PHOTO

A Belarusian delegation is currently visiting Azerbaijan in accordance with the bilateral cooperation plan for 2024, signed between the Ministries of Defense of Azerbaijan and Belarus. 

During their stay, the delegation met with officials at the Department of International Military Cooperation within the Ministry of Defence, Caliber.Az reports citing the ministry's press service.

They received a briefing on the key activities of Azerbaijan's engineering forces.

Major General Anar Kerimov, head of the Main Department of Engineering Troops, highlighted efforts related to demining operations in areas liberated following the Patriotic War, which was conducted under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

The discussions also covered the prospects for enhancing bilateral military cooperation and developing further interaction in this domain.

On the following day, the Belarusian delegation toured a military unit subordinate to the Main Directorate of Engineering Troops, where they examined various weapons, ammunition, and military equipment utilized by the engineering units, along with the engineering camp located on the premises.
