Baku hosts AGF Trophy awards ceremony
Winners and medalists of the 3rd AGF Trophy International Tournament in Rhythmic Gymnastics were presented with awards at the National Gymnastics Arena of Baku on April 16.
Winners and prizes were awarded in hoop and ball routine for juniors and in group routine - 5-rope programme for boys, Trend reports.
In the junior hoop exercise, Vera Tugolukova (Cyprus) took the top step on the podium, with Liliana Lewinska (Poland) in second place and Lian Rona (Israel) in third place.
International judges Delia Halmu (Australia), Alona Koshevacki (Israel) and Maya Filippova (Uzbekistan) presented awards to the winners and runners-up.
In the junior women's ball exercise, Natalia Usova (Uzbekistan) won gold, Vera Tugolukova (Cyprus) took silver and Lian Rona (Israel) won bronze.
International judges Mariya Mrozinska (Poland), Katalin Kys (Hungary), and Janyl Kaymazarova (Kyrgyzstan) presented awards to the winners and runners-up.
"The Israeli junior team won gold in the 5 rope programme in the group exercise, silver for the Azerbaijani team and bronze for the Polish team.
International category judges Maya Nikolaeva (Moldova), Valya Markova (Bulgaria) and Polivia Trikomiti (Cyprus) presented awards to the winners and runners-up.
There was also the presentation of a specially established prize from the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation - AGF Trophy Cup.
Among juniors performing in individual programmes, AGF Trophy was awarded to Vera Tugolukova (Cyprus), and among junior teams in group exercises AGF Trophy Cup was awarded to an Israeli team.
Rauf Aliyev, Azerbaijani MP and member of the Executive Committee of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation presented the awards to the winners and runners-up.
Competitions of the 3rd AGF Trophy International Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament are held at National Gymnastics Arena in Baku on April 14-16. As many as 119 gymnasts from 14 countries are taking part in the tournament.
