Mingachevir Regatta 2026 gearing up for launch in Azerbaijan’s Fuzuli

The Mingachevir Regatta 2026 international tournament, jointly organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Canoe and Rowing Federation (ACRF), will get underway today, September 29, in Fuzuli and continue until October 1.

The opening stage will be held at the Kondalanchay Reservoir, featuring 200-meter kayak and canoe races, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

On September 30 and October 1, athletes will compete across all disciplines and distances at the Mingachevir Kur Olympic Training and Sports Centre.

The tournament will bring together more than 100 young rowers from Azerbaijan, as well as the Czech Republic, Georgia, Hungary, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Tajikistan, Türkiye, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
