Azerbaijan, Türkiye explore joint chess tournaments

Azerbaijan and Türkiye have discussed expanding cooperation in chess, including the organization of joint tournaments.

According to the Azerbaijan Chess Federation, the discussions took place in Uzbekistan on the sidelines of the Chess Olympiad during a meeting between Federation President Mahir Mammadov and his Turkish counterpart, Enes Efendioğlu, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

The sides exchanged views on developing young chess talent and strengthening the exchange of experience between the two federations.

The meeting concluded with Mammadov presenting Efendioğlu with a commemorative gift.
