China supports improved Russia-US relations to bolster global stability
China has expressed its support for the enhancement of diplomatic ties between the Russian Federation and the United States, emphasizing the positive impact such developments could have on global peace and stability.
This stance was articulated by Guo Jiakun, the spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, during a press briefing, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
“China would welcome improved relations between Russia and the US, as well as their contribution to global peace and stability,” Guo stated, commenting on the anticipated meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump, which is tentatively scheduled to take place in Beijing in late August or early September.
Highlighting the significance of the two nations, the Chinese diplomat underscored that both Russia and the United States hold permanent seats on the United Nations Security Council, positioning them as pivotal actors with substantial influence over the international geopolitical landscape.

In late August and early September, President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to visit China to participate in commemorative events marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in World War II and the Chinese people's resistance against Japanese aggression. A highlight of the visit will be the large-scale military parade on September 3 in Beijing, where China plans to showcase domestically produced military hardware currently in active service.
Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov indicated that Moscow is not undertaking any specific preparations for a formal meeting between President Putin and US President Donald Trump during the China visit. However, he noted that the possibility of an encounter cannot be excluded should both leaders find themselves in Beijing simultaneously.
