US President Donald Trump has announced the nomination of Lance Schroyer to serve as the next director of the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
“I am very pleased to announce that I have nominated Lance Schroyer to be our next ICE Director,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Schroyer is a former police officer and U.S. Marine with 29 years of law enforcement experience in the state of Oklahoma. He also previously led the 287(g) program, which facilitates cooperation between local law enforcement agencies and ICE.
“The Senate must CONFIRM Lance, IMMEDIATELY — Do not delay. Together, we will MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN,” Trump added.
