CIS Games: Archery competitions wrap up in Khankendi
The archery competitions within the framework of the 3rd CIS Games have concluded today in Khankendi, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Service for Restoration, Construction, and Management in the city of Khankendi, as well as in the Aghdara and Khojaly districts, the women’s national team of Azerbaijan lost to Belarus in the bronze medal match held at Khankendi City Stadium.
In the men’s team competition, Russia took first place, Kazakhstan came second, and Uzbekistan came third. Among women’s teams, Russia secured first place, Uzbekistan second, and Belarus third. In the mixed team category, Belarus ranked first, Kazakhstan second, and Russia third.
In the individual events, a competitor from Uzbekistan won the men’s category, while Russian athletes took second and third places. In the women’s individual competition, Kazakhstan’s representative claimed first place, with Russian archers finishing second and third.
Telman Karimli, Executive Director of the Service for Restoration, Construction, and Management in Khankendi, Aghdara, and Khojaly districts, congratulated the winners and presented them with medals and gifts.
