Cuba abolishes visa regime for Chinese citizens
Cuba unilaterally decided to cancel the visa regime of the day for citizens of the People's Republic of China - holders of ordinary passports.
This was announced by Cuban Tourism Minister Juan Carlos Garcia Granda, speaking at the closing of the International Tourism Fair on the Cuban island of Cayo Coco, TASS reports.
"In light of efforts to promote trade and economic ties with China, particularly in tourism, I am pleased to announce the decision of our country to approve the abolition of the visa regime for Chinese citizens - holders of ordinary passports," the minister said.
He announced this decision in light of the fact that China will be the country of honor at the next International Tourism Fair to be held in Havana in 2025.
"We coincide on the need to create conditions and a favorable climate to strengthen ties in different areas, including tourism development," Garcia Granda said.
