Germany approves extra €400 million in military aid to Ukraine
On September 25, the Bundestag (Parliament) approved the German government's proposal to increase the financing of military support for Ukraine.
The amount of support is about 400 million euros, Caliber.Az reports, citing the government's official website.
The war has caused huge damage to Ukrainian cities and infrastructure. That is why Germany will provide an additional 170 million euros in the short term to restore the energy infrastructure of Ukraine.
In addition, the Bundestag approved an increase in funding for Ukraine's military support by about 400 million euros. These funds will allow the purchase of additional air defence equipment, tanks, drones, ammunition and spare parts, which will effectively strengthen the Ukrainian armed forces in defence.
On September 25, Germany approved a 70 million-euro aid package for Ukraine's heating and electricity sector. The funds will be used to provide cities and communities with small combined heat and power plants, boilers, generators and solar panels.
