Germany delivers new batch of military aid to Ukraine

The German government has delivered a new batch of military aid to Ukraine.

The aid package included equipment for IRIS-T SLM SAMs, new Gepard units, ammunition and other equipment, European Pravda reports with reference to updated data of the German government.

The new aid shipment, which has already been delivered to Ukraine, includes:

• 6 Gepard installations
• 3,230 shells of 155-mm calibre
• 1,184 155-mm smoke munitions
•  bridge for a Biber paver
• Biber paver
• 5 protected vehicles for border defence
• 10 laser designators for the IRIS-T SLM
• 8x8 HX81 tractor unit
• four semi-trailers
• 24,192 rounds of 40 mm ammunition
• two Vector drone spare parts kits
• 10 fire control stations for IRIS-T SLM SAMs.

On July 11, Germany confirmed the transfer of a new aid package worth about 600m euros to Ukraine. According to the Defense Ministry, Kyiv will receive two launchers for the Patriot air defence system, 40 Marder infantry fighting vehicles, 25 Leopard 1 tanks and one Luna drone system.
