Hungarian firms eye investment in Karabakh reconstruction, official says
Hungarian companies are prepared to invest in the reconstruction of Karabakh, Katalin Bihari, deputy state secretary at the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, said at the first Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2025).
"The flagship project we are implementing in Azerbaijan is related to energy, but our companies are also ready to invest in infrastructure projects, including the reconstruction of Karabakh. We are proud to be partners in this area," Bihari emphasised, Caliber.Az reports per domestic media.
She noted that Hungary's economic success directly depends on its trade and investment strategy, with economic diplomacy at the center of the country’s foreign economic policy.
Bihari also highlighted Hungary’s efforts to diversify its exports and expand the role of small and medium-sized enterprises in international trade.
According to her, Hungary became the third-largest investor in Azerbaijan last year.
