Hungary increases combat readiness of its Armed Forces
Hungary has increased the combat readiness of its Armed Forces. Exercises with weapons and related troop movements will be held across the country.
This was stated by Minister of Defence of Hungary Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky, RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to the message of the Ministry of Defence of Hungary.
"Strengthening the combat readiness of the Armed Forces will also affect the army, soldiers will more intensively practice their "basic skills," the use of weapons and related command movements," he said.
The minister stressed that the security of the Hungarian people is the most important issue for the government and for him as a defence minister.
"There is a war going on in our eastern neighbor that does not stop, and illegal migrants, organized by smugglers, are coming more and more aggressively from the south. We have to stay ahead of events," the minister said, explaining why he ordered an increase in military readiness.
The minister stressed that Hungary is on the side of peace and expects that the war will not reach the Hungarian border, but the authorities must do everything possible to prepare for it.
