Ilham Aliyev officially nominated as presidential candidate by New Azerbaijan Party

Ilham Aliyev has been officially nominated as a candidate for the extraordinary presidential election by the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP).

The decision was made at an expanded meeting of the NAP board held today, Trend reports.

Meanwhile, Plenipotentiary representatives of the New Azerbaijan Party candidate in the early presidential elections, Ilham Aliyev, have been identified at an extended meeting of the NAP Council held on December 15.

Deputy Chairman - Head of the Central Apparatus Tahir Budagov and Deputy Chairman of the NAP Ali Ahmadov were appointed plenipotentiary representatives of the presidential candidate.

Deputy Head of the Central Office Ahliman Tagiyev has been appointed plenipotentiary representative on financial issues in the early presidential elections.

On December 7, President Ilham Aliyev signed an order to announce snap presidential elections in Azerbaijan, which will be held on February 7, 2024.
