Azerbaijan, Ukraine reaffirm strategic ties during high-level meeting in Baku
Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov met with Ukrainian Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko in Baku on July 12 to discuss the strengthening of bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across key sectors.
The meeting underscored the importance of the mutual and consistent support that Azerbaijan and Ukraine have demonstrated for each other’s territorial integrity and sovereignty throughout their diplomatic relations, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the current level of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and highlighted the importance of deepening ties amid regional and global challenges.
The two officials also discussed the outcomes of the Intergovernmental Commission meeting held earlier the same day in Baku, emphasising its role in enhancing economic collaboration in various fields.
Minister Halushchenko thanked the Azerbaijani government for the humanitarian aid provided to the Ukrainian people during difficult times, describing it as a sign of genuine solidarity and partnership.
The talks also covered a broad agenda of bilateral cooperation, focusing on prospects for joint work in energy, agriculture, trade, and humanitarian sectors, with both sides affirming their commitment to further strengthening Azerbaijan–Ukraine relations.
