Azerbaijan secures six international posts in just 40 days
Azerbaijan has won six elections within various international organisations over the past 40 days, underscoring the country’s growing influence and credibility on the global stage.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, the victories demonstrate the international community’s deepening trust in the Republic of Azerbaijan and its commitment to multilateral cooperation, Caliber.Az reports.
The statement listed the following elections held within international organisations:

Membership in the Executive Board of the UN Human Settlements Programme (2025–2029);

Membership in the Executive Council of the UN World Tourism Organisation (2025–2029);

Membership in the Committee on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions of UNESCO (2025–2029);

Membership in the UN Committee on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families (2026–2029);

Chairmanship of the Committee of Permanent Representatives of the UN Environment Programme;

Post of Secretary General of the International Civil Defence Organisation.
