Iranian military delegation to arrive in Azerbaijan

A meeting of the joint Azerbaijani-Iranian military commission will be held in Baku on September 9.

According to Iran's Tasnim agency, this was noted during the telephone conversation held on August 22 between Azerbaijani Defence Minister Col Gen Zakir Hasanov and Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Lt Gen Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, Trend reports.  

During the phone call, the sides discussed the situation in the region and held a detailed exchange of views on security issues.

The prospects for the development of military cooperation between the two countries were also discussed during the telephone conversation.
