Israel Defense Forces uncover weapons, ammunition in Hamas tunnel PHOTO / VIDEO
Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has detonated a 2-kilometer-long Hamas tunnel in Jabalia area in the northern Gaza Strip.
The tunnel was discovered last week and was located at a significant depth underground. It had been used by Hamas militants and contained rooms designed for long-term stays. Numerous weapons, ammunition, bulletproof vests, Hamas uniforms, and other items were found inside, Caliber.Az reports, citing IDF.
In the same area, the IDF also destroyed a workshop where explosives were produced. During the operations, a terrorist cell attempting to plant an explosive device was neutralised.
Anti-tank positions and terrorist infrastructure that directly threatened the forces were also destroyed.
In a separate operation, an IAF aircraft, guided by Military Intelligence and the Southern Command, conducted a precision strike targeting a Hamas terrorist in the al-Furqan neighborhood of Gaza City.
Before carrying out the strike, extensive precautions were taken to minimise civilian casualties, including the use of precise weaponry, aerial surveillance, and enhanced intelligence.
The IDF remains fully committed to acting decisively and forcefully against terrorist organisations in the Gaza Strip.
