Israel to start letting UN aid trucks in for Gaza Strip

Trucks with humanitarian aid from the United Nations will begin to pass from the territory of Israel to the Gaza Strip through the Kerem Shalom crossing from December 17, in line with the agreement between Israel and the United States.

The announcement was made on the social media page X of the Office for the Coordination of Israeli Government Action in the Palestinian Territories (COGAT).

"Starting today (Dec. 17), UN aid trucks will undergo security checks and be transferred directly to Gaza via Kerem Shalom, to abide by our agreement with the US. This will increase the daily volume of humanitarian aid entering Gaza and being delivered to the people of Gaza," the Office said.
