Russian airstrike hits medical facility in Kharkiv, one killed, 12 injured PHOTO
A Russian aerial bomb struck a medical facility in Kharkiv’s Industrial district on the afternoon of July 25, killing one person and injuring at least 12 others, according to local authorities.
Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, confirmed the attack and stated that there are ongoing rescue operations at the site, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.
"The enemy struck with a glide bomb on a medical facility. At this time, it is known about 12 injured, among them a 12-year-old girl. Four people were hospitalized," Syniehubov said in a statement.
He added that “on site are working the State Emergency Service, law enforcement agencies, and medical teams are on standby. Everyone who needs it is receiving qualified assistance.”
According to preliminary data, three individuals may still be trapped under the rubble. Emergency crews are working to dismantle the destroyed structures in search of survivors.
The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration shared images of the destruction caused by the strike on the Industrial district.
This attack follows another airstrike carried out by Russian forces on July 24, when glide bombs hit the central part of Kharkiv, damaging a civilian enterprise and an area near a residential building.
