Kazakhstan ready to supply Azerbaijan with one million tonnes of wheat
Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Agriculture has said that Kazakhstan is ready to supply more than one million tonnes of wheat to Azerbaijan.
"Historically, Kazakhstan has shipped more than 1 million tonnes of grain to Azerbaijan. We are currently working on mechanisms to return the former positions to become competitive again in the Azerbaijani market with Kazakh wheat," said Asylkhan Juvashev, chairman of the Food Contract Corporation, Caliber.Az reports, citing Kazakhstani media.
According to him, the corporation manages a system of grain terminals in Kazakhstan, the capacity of which is intended to expand.
The main deliveries of Kazakh wheat will be carried out through Ak Bidai-Terminal JSC, which specialises in the transhipment and storage of grain crops and corn.
