Georgia-Russia border checkpoint temporarily closed for road repairs

The Kazbegi customs checkpoint on the Georgian-Russian border will undergo temporary closures due to road repairs, Georgia's Revenue Service said.

The checkpoint will be closed daily from 05:00 to 08:00 between September 18 and October 2, 2024, Caliber.Az reports.

The closures are necessary to facilitate essential road maintenance work, which aims to improve infrastructure and ensure safety for travelers.

During this period, travelers should plan alternative routes or adjust their schedules to accommodate the temporary restrictions.
