Kremlin reacts harshly to Latvia's threats to close Baltic Sea to Russian ships
23 October 2023 15:05
Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said that Russia does not accept any threats to its address.
On 20 October, Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics said that the Baltic Sea would be closed to Russian ships if the investigation into the Balticconnector bombing points to "Russian involvement".
"In response, I would like to ask Mr President what should be done with the Baltic Sea after the investigation is completed and after it becomes clear who carried out and who ordered the terrorist act in the Baltic against Nord Streams," Prime quotes Peskov as saying.
"On this matter, President preferred to keep silent and say nothing," he said.
The spokesman also added that Russia did not accept any threats.
