Media: Houthi leader warns normalization with Israel undermines regional strength
The leader of the Houthi movement, Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, delivered a strong critique of Arab states’ normalisation efforts with Israel, describing such steps as a political and intellectual collapse that strengthens enemy influence instead of challenging it, Al Khabar Al Yemen writes.
Speaking during his eighth Ramadan lecture, Al-Houthi said the rush towards normalisation demonstrates “blind subservience” to the United States, which he characterised as a partner in Zionist crimes and schemes.
He warned that this alignment risks leaving the broader region in a state of weakness and humiliation.
Al-Houthi argued that adopting normalisation policies amounts to an unacceptable submission to the enemy, forcing people to accommodate the reality of occupation rather than confronting it.
He suggested that this trend reflects a serious flaw in the vision of some regional governments that have abandoned longstanding principles.
Addressing critics of resistance movements, Al-Houthi emphasised that questioning trust in God’s promise or dismissing believers as naïve reflects a misunderstanding of history and divine traditions. He stressed that, despite the challenges posed by Israel, the demise of Zionist dominance is inevitable.
The Houthi leader called for a comprehensive reassessment of both political and faith-based approaches across the region. He concluded that returning to resistance and reliance on God remains the only viable path to restoring dignity and countering foreign hegemony.
