Minister: Azerbaijan, Türkiye promote common Turkic culture in world
Azerbaijani Culture Minister Adil Kerimli has said that Azerbaijan’s joint activities with Türkiye will be expanded to promote common Turkic culture.
The minister made the remarks at the third meeting of the joint Turkish-Azerbaijani commission held in Türkiye, Report informs.
He noted that relations between the countries are built on the commonality of history, culture and spiritual values.
"Over the years, we have had many achievements in both political, economic and cultural spheres. Brotherly and friendly relations of our heads of state successfully continue in all spheres, particularly in the field of culture, and we believe that our further activities, Turkish-Azerbaijani cultural ties and joint activities to promote common Turkic culture in the world will be further expanded and strengthened," the minister said.
Stressing that Azerbaijan and Türkiye have done important work to promote the common Turkic culture and cultural heritage in the world, the minister noted that UNESCO, TURKSOY, the International Turkic Academy, the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation have jointly implemented very successful projects in this direction.
“This year, as part of the announcement of Shushi as the cultural capital of the Turkic world, the Film Festival of the Turkic World “Korkut Ata”, the First Cultural Forum of the Turkic World and the Second Turkish Theater Festival, held within the framework of TURKSOY, were organized. We will continue to implement similar projects,” the minister said.
