03 June 2024 10:41
Japan has provided Ukraine with over $7 billion in aid since February 2022.
Ukraine's Defense Minister Rustem Umerov made the remarks following a meeting with his Japanese counterpart Minoru Kihara on the sidelines of the "Shangri-La Dialogue" forum in Singapore, TASS reports.
As Umerov wrote on Facebook, the discussions included issues of demining territories, providing equipment for fortifications, and supplying ambulances to Ukraine.
"Since February 2022, Japan has provided Ukraine with over $7 billion in aid, which includes humanitarian projects and the provision of non-lethal military equipment," Umerov noted.
