NATO pledges over $58 billion in military aid to Ukraine for 2025
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has announced that the alliance is preparing to deliver more than 50 billion euros ($58 billion) in military aid to Ukraine in 2025.
Speaking at a press conference following the NATO Summit in The Hague, Rutte emphasized the scale and pace of the support, Caliber.Az reports via live streaming of NATO Summit in The Hague.
“The trajectory for the next six months is already outpacing last year’s pace, which reached 50 billion euros by the end of the year,” he said. The assistance package will not be limited to arms deliveries.
Rutte noted that NATO’s ongoing support will also include training programmes for Ukrainian military personnel, aimed at strengthening operational capacity and long-term defense readiness.
The final communiqué issued at the close of the summit reaffirms NATO’s commitment to Ukraine through military assistance and strategic cooperation. However, the document does not reference any timeline or pathway for Ukraine’s potential NATO membership.
