War in Ukraine claims 12 Azerbaijani lives in 2025

In 2025, the ongoing war in Ukraine claimed the lives of 12 Azerbaijanis, with an additional six sustaining injuries.

The majority of those killed and wounded were participating in combat operations in Ukraine’s Donbas and Kharkiv regions, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

Airstrikes across various parts of the country also caused damage or complete destruction to the homes and property of 20 Azerbaijanis.

Authorities noted that all of the Azerbaijanis affected by the conflict were Ukrainian citizens, highlighting the human toll of the war on foreign nationals residing in the country.
