Ukraine faces massive exodus: Ombudsman reports 11 million abroad

Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, has revealed that approximately 11 million Ukrainians have left the country.

“Pay attention: 11 million Ukrainian citizens have gone abroad. 11!” the ombudsman remarked, expressing his astonishment, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.

“I received an official response from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today – they count 8.5 million citizens. But we understand that some of them do not register for consular records, so Ukrainian authorities do not account for them," emphasized Lubinets.
