Programme of German Foreign Minister's visit to Azerbaijan made public
The programme of German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock's visit to Azerbaijan has been announced, the German Embassy in Azerbaijan told APA.
German Federal Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock will visit Yerevan and Baku for talks on November 3-4. This is the foreign minister's first visit to Armenia and Azerbaijan after she visited Georgia in the spring of 2023, and her second visit to the South Caucasus.
The German top diplomat will meet with her Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov, followed by a joint press conference at the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
"Germany is working for sustainable peace, political and economic diversification of the region as well as close and good relations with the EU. For this, trust and reconciliation in the region are very important. The goal is a comprehensive peace through negotiations so that Azerbaijanis and Armenians can live in peace and security within their national borders. To this end, we support the early resumption of trilateral negotiations mediated by the President of the Council of the European Union, Charles Michel, and support any relationship that promotes peace and stability for the peoples of the South Caucasus," said Embassy spokesman Marcel Vietor.
