Russia calls NATO nuclear exercises international treaty violation

Head of the Russian delegation at the talks in Vienna Konstantin Gavrilov on military security and arms control, called the NATO Steadfast Noon nuclear exercises a violation of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT). 

“These exercises violate the CTBT, because the personnel of non-nuclear countries are also involved in the exercises using codes, passwords, aircraft of nuclear states,” Gavrilov explained, Rossiya 24 TV channel reports.

Nuclear states are countries that have nuclear weapons.
