Russia nationals lead Estonia’s deportations in 2025, police say
Russian citizens accounted for the largest share of deportations from Estonia this year, with 108 individuals ordered to leave the country, the Estonian Police and Border Guard Board said on August 7.
A total of 366 people have left Estonia since January, either voluntarily or through forced deportation, according to the agency cited by ERR radio news, Caliber.Az reports.
Following Russians, the next largest groups expelled include Moldovan nationals (37), Ukrainians (24), and Uzbek citizens (23). Other deportees come from countries such as Georgia, India, Türkiye, Kyrgyzstan, Brazil, and Belarus.
Deportations have been carried out for various reasons, including violations of migration laws and other legal grounds, officials said.
