Ukraine confirms destruction of Russian fighter jet, helicopter
A closer analysis of battlefield data indicates that Russia lost two military aircraft at separate locations within a span of just a few days.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed the destruction of a Russian MiG-29 fighter jet and a Ka-27 helicopter.
Further analysis of available information established that Ukrainian forces struck a Russian Ka-27 helicopter near the Yeysk airfield in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai on August 30.
Two days earlier, on August 27, Ukrainian forces destroyed a Russian MiG-29 fighter jet near the Millerovo airfield in Russia’s Rostov Region.
The reported strikes mark confirmed losses of Russian aircraft at two separate locations, highlighting the continued reach of Ukrainian attacks against military assets inside Russia.
