Russian MoD: Ukrainian drone shot down above Russia’s Saratov Region

The Russian Defense Ministry has said that Russian air defences shot down a fixed-wing Ukrainian drone above the country’s Saratov Region in the Volga Area on January 10.

"Earlier today, the Kyiv regime’s attempt to stage a terrorist attack on facilities in Russia using a fixed-wing drone was foiled. On-duty air defences destroyed a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle above the territory of the Saratov Region," the ministry said, according to TASS.

The region’s governor Roman Busargin wrote on Telegram that the drone had caused no damage.

"No injuries were reported, and no damage to infrastructure in populated areas. All facilities are operating as normal," he said in a statement.
