Pashinyan invites Armenia’s former presidents to debate
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has extended an invitation to former Armenian presidents to engage in a live debate.
In a post on social media, Pashinyan expressed his willingness to substantiate his previous statements through a public debate, Caliber.Az reports.
“I am ready to justify what I said in the format of live debates with the former presidents of Armenia,” Pashinyan wrote.
The Prime Minister also responded to the former presidents who had previously challenged his stance on various issues, including the Nagorno-Karabakh negotiation process. Pashinyan acknowledged their response through their representatives but emphasized that he expects the former leaders to participate directly, rather than having their representatives speak on their behalf.
"It is good that the former presidents responded to my post about the Nagorno-Karabakh negotiation process (through their representatives), but I am not hiding behind representatives. I believe it would be right for them not to hide either. I am waiting for the response from the presidents who challenged my post today," Pashinyan wrote.
