Saudi Defence Minister meets US counterpart in Washington for bilateral discussions
US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth welcomed Saudi Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman to Washington on February 24 for bilateral talks.
The meeting underscored the longstanding friendship and strategic partnership between the two nations, with a focus on enhancing cooperation in military and defence sectors, Caliber.Az reports, referencing Arab media.
The discussions also centred on regional and global developments, along with the joint efforts to promote security and stability.
Several key figures, including Saudi Ambassador to the US Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan, Chief of General Staff Lieutenant-General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, the Kingdom’s Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Jaber, and other senior officials attended the meeting.
To recall, Prince Khalid arrived in Washington earlier on February 24 to begin his visit.
