Tesla CEO refuses buying Twitter and gives ultimatum

CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, Elon Musk, has confirmed that the deal on Twitter purchase will not be completed until he receives data from CEO of Twitter, Parag Agrawal, that there is less than 5 percent of fake accounts among Twitter users.

Gazeta.ru reports quoting Musk as saying that the information about 20 percent of fake and spam accounts went viral, which is four times more than Twitter says while the real number could be bigger.

The businessman gave a public ultimatum to Twitter CEO and pointed out that Agrawal refused to provide evidence related to less than 5 percent of fake accounts within the social network on May 16.

“My initial proposal was based on the fact that the Twitter data filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission was correct. This deal cannot be moved off the ground until Agrawal reveals the data,” the businessman added.
