Three killed after car plunges into river in Kyrgyzstan Video
A car accident in Kyrgyzstan's Bishkek has left three people dead after a vehicle plunged into the Alamudun river, authorities said.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan noted that the crash occurred on the outskirts of the capital near Teplye Klyuchi on February 15, Caliber.Az reports per Kyrgyz media.
According to preliminary information, the driver of a Hyundai Sonata lost control of the vehicle while descending through the Alamedy Gorge. The car veered off the road and fell from a height roughly equivalent to a nine-storey building before landing in the river.
Emergency responders confirmed that three people — the driver and two young women — died at the scene. A fourth passenger survived and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
