Turkish army kills 18 PKK terrorists in northern Iraq

The Turkish Armed Forces have killed 18 militants of the PKK terrorist organization in northern Iraq.

A UAV attacked the terrorists in the zone of the Pençe-Kilit [Claw-Lock] operation, which has been ongoing in three Iraqi regions since April 18, Report quotes the Turkish National Defence Ministry as saying.

The ministry stressed that the Turkish Armed Forces will continue to eliminate the threat of terrorism in the region.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said earlier that since 1984, when the PKK militants first carried out a terrorist attack in Turkiye, thousands of Turkish security forces, military and civilians have died at the hands of this bloody organization.
