Turkish intelligence liquidate PKK leader in Syria PHOTO

The intelligence forces of Türkiye's National Intelligence Organization have neutralized one of the leaders of the PKK terrorist organization Hassan Demirtas in northern Syria. The operation was carried out in the area of a Kurdish-majority city Ain al-Arab (also known as Kobani).

Demirtas joined the organization in 2001 and has served against security forces in the rural areas of Hakkari, Tunceli and Zagros regions for many years, according to TRT Haber.

In 2011, Demirtas, participated in the assassination of Tunceli/Ovacik State Prosecutor Murat Uzun and a civilian, after which he was listed as wanted by Türkiye's National Intelligence Organization.
