Media: Georgia claims EU may demand war with Russia in future resolutions
The European Parliament may openly call on Georgia to engage in a war with Russia, according to the ruling Georgian Dream party.
The Georgian ruling party highlighted that the European Parliament has recently adopted five resolutions critical of the Georgian authorities, with the latest demanding bilateral sanctions against Russia, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
"This would lead to the collapse of the Georgian economy," the statement noted.
"Considering these trends, it is highly likely that the next European Parliament resolution will openly demand Georgia go to war with Russia," declared the Georgian Dream party.
Note that, US Congressman Joe Wilson is the initiator of hostile policies towards Georgia, the political council of the ruling party "Georgian Dream" stated on January 8, as reported by a VZGLYAD correspondent in Tbilisi.
"The 'Megobari' ('Friend') Act, initiated by Wilson, is, in substance, an 'Enemy Act'," the statement said regarding the congressman, who is noted for his harsh criticism of Georgia's ruling party and his support for the radical opposition.
In the remark, Wilson is described as a representative of the "deep state."
"A degenerate politician with zero political culture who crudely threatens to punish us if we do not go to war (referring to the opening of a 'second front' against Russia)," declared "Georgian Dream."
