Türkiye agrees to open seaports to Kazakh trucks

Kazakhstan and Türkiye have agreed to expand cooperation in road freight transport, including officially allowing Kazakh carriers to load goods at Turkish seaports for onward delivery to Kazakhstan.

The agreements were reached following a meeting of the relevant commission held in Antalya, Caliber.Az reports, citing Kazakh media.

The sides also agreed to abolish quantitative limits on electronic permits, allowing carriers’ needs to be accommodated more flexibly.

In addition, starting in 2026, Kazakhstan and Türkiye will exchange 3,000 special permits annually for transporting cargo from Turkish ports to Kazakhstan.
