Former Armenian minister brought to courthouse on stretcher

Former Armenian Finance Minister Gagik Khachatryan has again been brought from the penitentiary institution to the courthouse on a stretcher.

Khachatryan’s lawyers previously said more than two weeks after his arrest, he had still not received adequate medical care, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

Earlier, on September 10, 71-year-old Khachatryan was likewise brought to court on a medical stretcher in the same condition.

The former head of Armenia’s State Revenue Committee was detained on September 1 following searches as part of a case involving allegedly receiving a bribe and money laundering on an especially large scale.
